PROFESSIONAL TRAINING
Mr. Deschamps has a bachelor of law degree from Université Laval and a graduate studies diploma in taxation from the Hautes Études Commerciales (HEC).

PROFILE
Mr. Marc-Antoine Deschamps has been practicing in the area of taxation and commercial law since 1998. In particular, he has represented and assisted a number of his clients in corporate planning concerning the purchase and sale of companies, maximizing personal and corporate tax incentives, and testamentary planning both in Canada and abroad. Mr. Deschamps has also negotiated on behalf of and represented his clients with the tax authorities. He has been involved in tax disputes before the courts. In addition, he possesses knowledge of  natural resource taxation.

PROFESSIONAL AND COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES
Mr. Deschamps is a member of the Association de planification fiscale et financière (Quebec association of tax and financial planning, or APFF), the Canada Tax Foundation (CTF) and the Groupement des chefs d’entreprise, the Chambre de commerce Canada France and Sous Traitance Industrielle du Québec. He is also a tax instructor for the Ordre des Comptables agréés du Québec (Quebec association of chartered accountants). He has also published several papers in commercial law and taxation.
