Mr. Sigouin has a law degree from the Université de Montréal. He was admitted to the Montreal Bar in 2005.
PROFILE
François Sigouin specializes in employment law, labour law and human rights. In his practice he focuses notably on questions relating to labour standards, grievance arbitration, interpretation of collective agreements and individual employment contracts as well as occupational health and safety. He renders legal opinions on various subjects in matters of industrial relations and employment law, including the imposition of disciplinary measures, the termination of the employment relationship and non-competition and confidentiality obligations. He has frequently argued before the Labour Standards Commission, the Employment Injury Commission, the Construction industry Commission as well as before the arbitration tribunals.
He also practices in matters of civil and commercial litigation. He is called upon to make representations before the Court of Quebec and the Superior Court.
