Me Asselin holds a bachelor of law from Laval University and is further enriched by an international profile completed with the University of Western Ontario. After having completed his articling with our firm in 2005, he joined our municipal law team.
PROFILE
Me Asselin works in all domains relating to municipal law, notably those relating to urban planning, access to information, electoral matters, land protection, the environment and construction. Having to deal regularly with complex questions, Me Asselin is more specifically consulted on questions relating to the daily preoccupations of the directors and elected officials of the municipal world.
Me Asselin also works in labour relations, covering different subjects relating to human resource management, labour standards as well as individual employment contracts for the benefit of many public corporations and also for businessmen and individuals.
Me Asselin is called upon to make use of his skills in civil litigation and regularly pleads before different judicial proceedings.
PROFESSIONAL AND COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES
Me Asselin teaches civil procedure to students in legal technology at the Collège Bart in Quebec. Having drafted numerous articles in the municipal domain, he also acts as a speaker for different associations. In addition, Me Asselin is vice-president of the board of directors of Ateliers de travail CTPLH de Québec, a not-for-profit work centre for handicapped persons. Finally, Me Asselin is a member of the Association des procureurs de Cours municipales du Québec and of the Association des diplômés de l’Université Laval
